The chef of the restaurant

Gadio El Hadji is not just a chef; he is a genius. A genius born as if by magic from an Africa where cuisine plays with colors and fragrances. A creative, relentless and committed genius. Who invents, as a true man of the world, daring alliances with resolutely Corso-African influences. Subtly mixes the raw flavors of Corsica with the colorful and spicy ones of Senegal.

When evening comes, the restaurant of the U Capu Biancu hotel welcomes its guests in a cozy atmosphere made of sharing and good food. We contemplate the sunset from the terrace or the panoramic lounge. And we savor an identity cuisine. A cuisine that is invented according to the rhythm of the seasons, the markets, the peaches.

PAILLOTE BEACH

The active beach with its private pontoon

Located directly at the foot of the U Capu Biancu hotel hut and equipped with a private pontoon, there is something terribly… lively about this beach! Yes, that’s it: lively and paradoxically soothing. Soothing because you can lounge there at will behind a gazebo or on a four-poster bed. We sip a refreshment served by our beach attendant. Which helps with the installation, on request, of mattresses and parasols stored on a corner of the beach. Alive because from its shore, we set off on the wave in a canoe, we perfect our balance in stand up paddle and we dive, simply equipped with a mask and a snorkel, to discover the underwater world. .

Corsica is an exceptional region. Fertile, generous and sunny, it gives rare, distinctive and noble wines. Powerful reds, floral whites and fruity rosés are recognized for their high quality and typicality. For years, U Capu Biancu’s sommelier, Vanessa Maloyer , has been touring the island vineyards . Selects the best vintages which it then shelters within the walls of our cellar. Alongside them also mature AOC wines from other regions. In all, some 700 references, 90% Corsican and 60% organic, are waiting to be observed, smelled and above all… savoured.

Cellar dinners

Freshness and delicacy ! Here is what awaits amateurs, collectors or simply curious. Freshness, delicacy and much more. Because our dinners in the cellar go beyond a simple introduction to wine with a background of Corsican cheese and charcuterie . They are friendly parentheses that we share with family or friends. Moments during which we discover the island vineyards and, through them, the work of local winegrowers and producers . We play with aromas, flavors and textures. We write down our impressions which we keep in memory or which we bring back to our tasting notebook.

Boat trips

Do you prefer heading south or north? Drop anchor near Bonifacio, the Lavezzi Islands or Propriano ? Spend a day sailing the seas or half a day along the coast in search of secret bays? Popping champagne in the evening aboard a Boston Whaler? Whatever your desire, the moment will be exhilarating! A zest of fishing or diving, a sunrise or a sunset, a picnic, an aperitif or grilled lobster to enjoy on board or in a wild cove, not far from the U Capu Biancu hotel.
