From December 8, Artcurial invites all watch lovers to rediscover the pieces that marked the end of the 20th century ! 

Luxury Timepieces presents a selection of nearly 150 luxury watches and emblematic timepieces from the 1980s and 1990s. The leading French house honors this fabulous period which marks the revival of modern watchmaking.

After the quartz revolution during the 1970s, the finest manufacturers reintroduced legendary complications into their collections in the 1980s.

With accessible estimates, this sale will be an opportunity to fall for a  “World Time” signed Ebel or to treat yourself, in its “De Luxe” version, to the legendary Louis Brandt II chronograph launched by Omega in 1991!

Historic brands like Audemars Piguet, Ulysse Nardin and IWC rub shoulders with the most daring watchmakers of the period like Harry Winston, Gerald Genta and Franck Muller.

Women’s watches will also punctuate the sale with a selection of particularly attractive vintage pieces signed Patek Philippe, Piaget or Van Cleef & Arpels. Cocktail watches or timepieces with a sporty look, all styles are there!

Finally, a selection of several avant-garde pieces with digital display will be offered to enthusiasts. Among the most original pieces, a rare ultra-thin gold model produced by the Japanese watch manufacturer Seiko. A true collector’s item which was, at the time, the finest quartz watch in the world!
