Defender OCTA Black: Rugged luxury

A real rock star

The Defender OCTA, the master of extreme performance on and off-road, now has an even bolder counterpart : The Defender OCTA Black.

With an all-black aesthetic for high performance, the hero of the 4x4s gives the most powerful and luxurious model in the Defender family an even stronger presence and more assertive luxury.

A sign of this transformation: no fewer than 30 exterior elements feature black finishes. The colour of the Defender OCTA Black is Narvik Black, the most intense black in the Defender palette. It is a deep, dark black with a standard gloss finish, but customers can customise the exterior of their OCTA Black by choosing a matt black protective film.

The lower front shield and rear sill plates are finished in Satin Black, as are the rear towing rings, while the front towing eye cover and Gloss Black quad exhaust tips provide a contrasting finish.

The Land Rover oval on the grille is black with dark silver lettering. Even the underbody components feature a Gloss Black or Satin Black finish, including the exhaust silencer guard, centre differential and optional electric deployable tow bar.

There is a choice between 20-inch forged wheels or 22-inch Gloss Black wheels, with black wheel covers and Defender lettering in Shadow Atlas, while the Gloss Black brake calipers feature contrasting Sentient Silver lettering.

To match the dramatic black exterior, the interior of the Defender OCTA Black takes rugged luxury to a new level. Semi-Aniline ebony leather and KvadratTM are introduced to the Defender for the first time, giving the Performance seats a soft-touch finish. They feature unique perforation patterns with new stitching on the seatbacks, while the rear seats and armrest hinges are finished in Carpathian Grey, adding a bold touch to every element.

On the dashboard, the dashboard crossbar finish is finished with a coat of Satin Black powder, with an option of fragmented carbon fibre for certain interior details, adding the ultimate touch of rugged luxury.

The new Defender OCTA boasts a commanding stance and bold new design, while its signature new emblems pay tribute to its diamond-level capabilities.

Introducing a new hero for Defender, the British brand with the original spirit of adventure : the new Defender OCTA. The toughest, most capable and most luxurious member of the  unstoppable 4×4 family, taking the Defender 110’s capability to a whole new level.

Powered by a 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, the OCTA model is the most extreme and powerful Defender yet, delivering 467 kW/635 hp and up to 750 Nm1 of torque and accelerating from 62,14 mph in 4.0 seconds . Completely redesigned chassis components featuring innovative technologies, including 6D Dynamics suspension, ensure its dynamic capabilities are taken to new heights.

The exterior is bolder and more robust than ever, with a distinctive character. The ride height is raised, its stance wider, and the wheel arches are enlarged, for an incredible presence. Redesigned bumpers improve approach and departure angles, while robust underbody protection gives drivers the confidence to explore more rugged terrain. And it will be able to tread deeper ground than any production Defender before it, down to one meter of water.

The name of the new Defender OCTA is taken from the world’s strongest and most attractive mineral – a diamond – and the octahedron shape that gives it its distinctive look and durability. This shape also inspired the distinctive new emblem, which marks it as the flagship Defender model, at once strong and durable, yet striking, rare and desirable.

Each Defender OCTA features a new diamond-in-circle motif, finished in Gloss Black stamped onto a machined and sandblasted titanium disc, affixed to each signature graphic panel.

The rugged luxury of the Defender OCTA is epitomised by the Defender OCTA Edition One, available from the first year of production. It features a carefully crafted specification, finished in a new exclusive Faroe Green shade, seamless knitted seat covers in PU UltrafabricsTM Khaki and Ebony, new Chopped Carbon Fibre details and 20-inch forged alloy wheels with a choice of optional specially designed All-Terrain or Advanced All-Terrain tyres.

UNMATCHED PERFORMANCE

The new OCTA model delivers unprecedented performance for the Defender. Powered by a 467 kW/635 hp 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with a dual-speed transfer case (high/low range), it is the most powerful and extreme Defender ever.

The new Defender OCTA will reach up to 155 MPH(limited) when fitted with 22-inch forged alloy wheels and all-season tyres.

With 750 Nm of torque 1 (up to 800 Nm by selecting Dynamic Launch mode) and tuned to match the vehicle’s exceptional off-road performance, the new Defender OCTA is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62,14 mph in 4.0 seconds, while maximum torque is available from 1,800 to almost 6,000 rpm, ensuring exceptional traction.

INCREDIBLE CAPABILITIES AND DURABILITY

The dynamic capabilities of the new Defender OCTA go far beyond what any Defender has achieved before, with the introduction of hydraulically interconnected 6D Dynamics suspension technology for the first time on a Defender, along with significant hardware and geometry changes. Unique in its kind, it is designed to be as enjoyable to drive on-road as it is off-road, without any compromise.

The Defender OCTA is raised 28mm and features a 68mm wider stance, for superior ground clearance and stability. To ensure unrivalled confidence and control on all terrains, with both maximum wheel articulation off-road and reduced body roll on-road, revised suspension components include longer, stronger wishbones and unique active dampers with separate accumulators. The model also features optimized 400mm front brake discs with Brembo calipers and features the quickest steering ratio of any Defender to date, for immediate and precise responses.

A bespoke testing and development programme comprising over 13,960 additional tests , including high-speed off-road reliability and endurance, as well as high-speed on-road performance, had to be created for the Defender OCTA, as the team entered areas of capability and robustness that had never been explored before.

They have completely redesigned the vehicle’s components to ensure Defender OCTA is the perfect companion for epic adventures in every corner of the globe.”

An advanced combination of hydraulically interconnected, continuously variable semi-active dampers virtually eliminates body pitch and roll on the road, while the 6D Dynamics system also contributes to the Defender’s unprecedented comfort and refinement. On challenging terrain, the 6D Dynamics system allows for greater wheel articulation and tackles even more extreme obstacles, meaning customers can go even further and in greater comfort.

The full capabilities of the new Defender OCTA, which can automatically detect the surface it is driving on and optimize its dynamic settings accordingly, are unleashed through its enhanced driving modes. In addition to the default Comfort mode, Dynamic mode offers the ultimate performance-focused on-road experience, adjusting the vehicle’s steering, throttle and suspension settings with a simple touch of the signature logo button on the steering wheel.

A long press of the same button accesses OCTA mode, Defender’s first-ever performance-focused off-road driving mode. This has been specifically created to ensure ultimate control and driver confidence. OCTA mode also enables an Offroad Launch mode for optimal acceleration on loose surfaces. Combined with the lowest settings of the traction management systems (TracDSC or DSC off), it also applies a unique off-road ABS calibration for optimal braking performance on loose surfaces.

For more technical off-road maneuvers, the Defender’s suite of familiar Terrain Response modes remains at the driver’s fingertips, with specific Sand, Mud/Ruts, Grass/Gravel/Snow and Rock calibrations, supported by off-road driving aids such as ClearSight Ground View2, which provides a virtual view of the front wheels and surface with a display on the touchscreen.

AN EXTERIOR PLACED UNDER THE SIGN OF CONFIDENCE

Defender’s commanding presence and off-road focus give Defender OCTA a bold new attitude. It is available with 22-inch diameter wheels, the largest ever fitted to a production Defender, and Goodyear Advanced All-Terrain tires1 specifically designed for the OCTA model. This required flared wheel arches, which complement the off-road-optimized front bodywork with unique grille designs allowing for improved underhood airflow, a new rear bumper incorporating a quad-exit active exhaust system, robust underbody protection including an aluminum alloy front bumper in Graphite, and exposed front and rear tow points finished in Phosphor Bronze.

The Defender OCTA color palette includes two new exclusive premium metallic finishes: Petra Copper and Faroe Green, as well as Carpathian Grey and Charente Grey, while all Defender OCTA models feature a contrasting roof and tailgate in gloss Narvik Black. Customers can personalize their vehicle with the optional matte protection film for additional body protection in challenging environments, also adding an elegant look that highlights its distinctive silhouette and sophisticated surfaces.

The Faroe Green color is available exclusively on the Defender OCTA Edition One, as are the Chopped Carbon Fiber details. This highly distinctive finish, which includes recycled raw materials, features on the Defender bonnet lettering, side vents and bonnet vents, as well as on the front seat backs and center console trim inside.

AN ENGAGING AND IMMERSIVE INTERIOR

Inside, carefully selected details set the new Defender OCTA apart. Two ultra-durable UltrafabricsTM PU options – 30% lighter than traditional leather – are available. This knitted seat finish is standard on the Defender OCTA Edition One, in two-tone Khaki and Ebony, and has a minimalist, seamless finish.

For the Defender OCTA, the standard interior is offered in a new Semi-Aniline Burnt Sienna leather, with Kvadrat™ textile trim in Ebony. Any Defender OCTA model can also be equipped with Ultrafabrics™ PU in Light Cloud and Lunar, or Semi-Aniline leather in Ebony.

Each experience Bentayga is specified to fit the needs of the experience and feature bespoke purpose-built cargo boxes that fit to the tailgate rails in addition to personalized Preserve puddle lamps and embroidered emblems.

Announcing the next step in its journey to electrify modern luxury, the first all-electric vehicle from the House of Range Rover will sublimate its modern luxury credentials. Its exemplary British design remains distinctive and unconditional, while its go-anywhere capability will allow towing, fording and off-road technology to surpass any other luxury electric SUV.

The Range Rover Electric will offer performance comparable to that of a Range Rover V8, as well as the off-road capabilities developed in-house by Land Rover’s experts, which have been the hallmark of the Range Rover since its creation in 1970.

Prototype testing is underway, with the engineers’ sole aim being to create the quietest, most refined Range Rover ever, with a unique active noise-cancellation configuration, careful attention to ambience and excellent levels of cabin comfort.

After a year of virtual development, focusing on the robustness of the front axle and the analysis of multi-body systems, taking into account chassis requirements and fording at speeds of up to 50 km/h, the first physical vehicles have been produced.

Road tests began, from Sweden to Dubai, with temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C. The worldwide test program was adapted for Range Rover’s first all-electric vehicle to ensure the robustness of the electric drive system, including underfloor, battery durability, chassis integrity and vehicle dynamic testing to protect systems in high temperatures.

The new Range Rover Electric will be developed and produced in the UK :

On the Flexible Longitudinal Modular Architecture (MLA) at Solihull, alongside existing light hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles from the House of Range Rover.

For the first time, batteries and EDUs will be built and assembled at JLR’s new electric propulsion manufacturing center in Wolverhampton, UK, as the House of Range Rover continues to stay ahead of its net zero carbon ambition by 2039.

Ducati and Bentley are proud to jointly announce a new limited-edition motorcycle that celebrates the best of both iconic brands: the Ducati Diavel for Bentley. Born of collaboration between the two manufacturers, the project links Ducati and Bentley with a vision of performance, craftsmanship and exclusivity. The result is a striking synthesis of technology, style and performance capable of making enthusiasts dream. The bike was revealed to the public at a design event during Art Basel week in Miami Beach.

On the sophisticated technical basis of the high-performance, comfortable Diavel V4, Ducati has incorporated many of the styling features of the Bentley Batur – A limited edition model hand-built by Bentley – To create a motorcycle that is unique in terms of elegance and design. The Diavel for Bentley will be created in a limited numbered series of 500+50 units, the latter reserved for Bentley customers.

The Centro Stile Ducati, in collaboration with Bentley designers, has created a new design for this special motorcycle, inspired by the Batur, from which it takes the predominantly horizontal lines of the side view. The sophisticated and refined Scarab Green color, rich in metallic nuances, comes from the Bentley Mulliner palette and is used throughout the bodywork.

The decisive, aggressive lines of the Diavel V4 have also been thoroughly revised through the technical components : Many of the Batur’s characteristic elements have been incorporated into various parts of the bike. The forged rims, designed and created for this bike, recall the shapes of the car’s and are painted in Dark Titanium Satin, revealing some machined surfaces.

The side air intakes echo the two-tone grille, one of the Batur’s most recognizable features. The triangular rear extractors refer to the corresponding elements of the car. The front mudguard, fairing and top view of the fuel tank recall the ribs of the front hood, while the single-seater tail, which can be replaced by a passenger seat, takes many stylistic cues from the double-layer extractor at the rear of the car.

Many body components are made of high-quality carbon fiber (fenders, headlamp covers, engine, exhaust and radiator, radiator shrouds, side panels, rear piece).

The driver’s seat, in black Alcantara, is inspired by the car’s interior and is precision-worked to reveal the underlying red fabric with the same texture as the Batur seats, and with the Bentley logo embroidered on the rear cushion. The double-exit exhaust, with its cover, has been redesigned to harmonize with the refined lines of the motorcycle.

The Batur is Bentley’s most powerful production car ever, with a 730hp twin-turbo W12 engine, produced in just 18 examples. What’s more, the Batur combines Bentley’s benchmark craftsmanship with a sculpted, muscular body that defines a new design DNA for Bentley and prefigures a new design direction for the brand. The visual message is one of power and elegance, without ostentation or excess. The 18 examples of the Batur are individually handcrafted by Mulliner, the world’s oldest coachbuilder and Bentley’s bespoke division.

In addition to the 500 Diavel models for Bentley, Ducati is also offering a series of just 50 models, called Diavel for Bentley Mulliner. The 50 Diavel for Bentley Mulliner will be available exclusively to Bentley customers, who, thanks to direct collaboration with the designers at Centro Stile Ducati, will be able to configure their Diavel for Bentley Mulliner with different colors for the seat, front brake calipers, carbon fiber parts and wheels. They will also be able to choose the same color as their car for the body parts, or one of those from the exclusive palette selected by the Crewe-based company’s designers.

The Diavel for Bentley, like all vintage Ducati, comes with a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat and a motorcycle cover. The model name and production number of the unit are engraved on a plate inserted in the carbon-fiber cover of the vertical head, on the right-hand side of the bike. The instrument panel, fitted as standard with a turn-by-turn navigator, and the LED matrix in the rear light cluster offer a special animation at ignition that makes the Diavel for Bentley even more recognizable. Finally, each Diavel for Bentley will be delivered in an exclusive, personalized wooden box.

The collaboration between the two manufacturers has also led to the creation of a Capsule Collection, reserved for Diavel for Bentley owners, which allows customers to complete their look with a limited edition helmet and technical jacket (available in men’s and women’s versions), characterized by a color scheme that reflects that of the motorcycle.

The Diavel for Bentley adopts the 1,158 cm3 Granturismo V4 engine, a central element of its design and at the same time a highly refined technical choice. Powerful (168 hp), rich in torque, but also extremely light and compact, it is fluid, smooth and usable from the lowest revs. The Twin Pulse combustion sequence, combined with the dedicated exhaust system, unequivocally characterizes the exhaust note.

Customer deliveries of the new Diavel for Bentley will begin in summer 2024.

U.S. pricing will be $70,000 for the Diavel for Bentley and $90,000 for the Diavel for Bentley Mulliner.

Canadian prices will be $80,000 for the Diavel for Bentley and $105,000 for the Diavel for Bentley Mulliner. The suggested retail price includes the Capsule Collection jacket and helmet, exclusively for North America.

McLaren’s 60th anniversary celebrations  will continue in its 60th year  with the introduction of a new range of options available for all production models. A 60th anniversary -themed individual options pack  , which includes new exterior and interior visual content to pay homage to McLaren’s winning of  motorsport’s ‘ Triple Crown  ‘, is available on the GT, Artura and the all-new 750S supercar .

A key milestone in McLaren’s sixty-year history, the conquest of the ”  Triple Crown  ” – which consists of winning the three most prestigious races in motorsport – took place 21 years after McLaren’s first victory at the 500 Miles. ‘Indianapolis, in 1974.

Triumph at the Monaco Grand Prix – a race McLaren has now won 15 times, a record for any Formula 1 manufacturer – followed in 1984. The feat was finally accomplished in 1995, when the F1 GTR won all 24 Hours of Le Mans, during McLaren’s first participation in this iconic endurance race.

Three exterior paint colors, each paying homage to the cars that won the  Triple Crown  for McLaren, are available across the production range. Indy Orange  is a new solid color that takes and modernizes the bright orange hue of the M16D that won the 1974 Indianapolis 500.  Monaco White  is another new solid color that draws inspiration from the predominant white hue of the MP4/ 2 winner of the Monaco Grand Prix in 1984. The trio of paints is completed by a metallic option called  Le Mans Gray , a tribute to the F1 GTR which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995.

In addition to these paint options, the ”  Triple Crown Stripes  “ pattern is offered. These are painted stripes which run down the center of the hood and are repeated on the rear wing. This exclusive option, which will only be available to order on the 750S, will be produced for only 60 examples, one for each year of McLaren. McLaren’s Triple Crown logo   is incorporated at the front, while at the rear the winning years – 74, 84 and 95 – appear with intricate decoration. The underside of the rear wing is contrasting and features the Triple Crown logo.

Other exterior upgrades include two new brake caliper colors for the 60th anniversary  . The Indy Blue  color  , which is inspired by the victory in the Indianapolis 500, takes up the blue of the number “3” present on the winning M16D. Le Mans Gold  takes on the color of the brake calipers fitted to the legendary McLaren F1 GTR. These new caliper colors are available on the 750S, GT and Artura.

Cars ordered with gloss carbon fiber exterior mirrors can feature the 60th Anniversary ‘Speedy Kiwi’ logo  applied to  the  mirror caps in  Orange  or  Silver . This logo is the same one that appears on the new commemorative plaque specially designed for cars equipped with the 60th anniversary options.

Interior options for the 60th Anniversary  include an Indy Orange colored steering wheel marker  , available on cars equipped with a carbon fiber steering wheel. The steering wheel marker can be complemented by new carbon fiber painted shift paddles, with stripes in the colors of  McLaren’s ‘ Triple Crown’  motif.

All cars ordered with one of the 60th Anniversary options will  be fitted with a new custom brushed aluminum commemorative plaque, featuring the 60th Anniversary logo in  McLaren  Orange . The logo incorporates a “60” into McLaren’s famous ”  Speedy Kiwi  “, the badge characterizing Bruce McLaren’s racing cars. Any 750S ordered with the ” Triple Crown Stripes”  motif  will be marked “1 of 60” on the commemorative plaque, highlighting the model’s rarity.

J Craft Boats AB, was present and much noticed on the quays of the ports of Cannes and Monaco during the September 2023 boat shows. The timeless style of runabouts, also known as motorboats, is still handcrafted by this exceptional Swedish boatyard. Even the prestigious Chanel brand chose Craft for its latest campaign in the Chanel “Les Beiges” make-up series.

Since launching its first luxury day-boat in 1999, J Craft has continued to build boats on the Swedish island of Gotland. Here, in the midst of the sometimes stormy Baltic Sea, J Craft capitalizes on the island’s strong marine heritage and centuries of shipbuilding tradition. J Craft’s team of experienced craftsmen devote over 9,000 hours to the construction of each unit, and all boats undergo extensive sea trials in the challenging northern waters before delivery.

Built for the few, appreciated by the many, J Craft has quietly continued to produce bespoke works of art for discerning boaters. These owners understand that a Torpedo 42 is far from a production boat; it’s a passion project for meticulous owners who demand quality, finesse and performance.

DESIGN

J Craft boats are designed to exceed their owners’ expectations, offering cutting-edge technology, environmentally friendly production and unique styling. J Craft harmoniously fuses classic style with modern power and convenience.

The result is a boat that can be used in any capacity: hunting boat, tender or well-equipped day boat. The J Craft Torpedo is a chic, high-performance boat, built entirely by hand, with over 8,000 hours of work put into each one. The small team is focused on quality, and anything less than perfect is never good enough.

At J Craft, it’s all about the detail. The feel of the leather, the weight of the switch, the action of the hinge – simple things, imperceptible to most, but which add subliminally to the pleasure of owning a Torpedo. The eco-friendly, cultivated mahogany deck is lacquered and varnished eighteen times for an incomparable finish and incredible strength and durability. As well as being beautiful, the Torpedo can withstand the harshest elements while retaining its movie-star looks.

No two J Craft Torpedos are alike. The unique, individual nature of the wood veneers alone guarantees this. It’s also true that every boat that leaves the J Craft factory in Gotland is a unique expression of an individual’s desire to stand out, to be seen.

TORPEDO 42 – N°21

J Craft, creators of the Torpedo 42, recently delivered hull n°21, “Babebi”, to its home port of Beaulieu at the end of June, and is the very first Torpedo from J Craft to feature a metallic-colored hull. Requiring over 9,000 man-hours to build, Babebi is a Torpedo “RS” equipped with two Volvo Penta IPS 650s, which will enable her to reach a top speed of 47 knots.

The interior is two-tone, with yellow brass and off-white, as well as beautiful diamond stitching. The new Torpedo comes with additional lithium batteries, enabling it to spend a whole day on the water, engines off, with music, charging, fridges, air conditioning and dryer running without the need to use the generator, making it very quiet and comfortable with no loss of comfort.

The Torpedo can reach speeds in excess of 50 mph and offers exceptional manoeuvrability. The shape of its hull, refined over the course of two dozen builds, offers excellent stability and performance in all sea states, as well as an impressive range of 280 nautical miles.

The convertible open cockpit features two sundecks, comfortably accommodating up to 10 adults for day cruises. The spacious cabin can accommodate up to 4 people in luxurious style. The helm station features a leather Nardi steering wheel, leather dashboard and rose-polished stainless steel instrument panel.

A BOAT MADE TO MEASURE

Head-turning retro styling evokes the feeling of being at one with the sea, and every J Craft yacht is an exquisite accessory to its surroundings. Handcrafted from a fiberglass hull and mahogany veneers, every curve is hand-molded, every strip is hand-finished to ensure durability and finish.

The Torpedo is an infinitely customizable vessel, from the powerplants to the on-board technology, right down to the smallest detail. The result is a chic, high-performance cruiser that’s as at home in rough waters as it is moored on the world’s most glamorous piers.

Past customers have specified unique colors and materials. Some, in collaboration with the J Craft Boats AB team, have designed their own luggage sets, individual garments, deck plans, car-matched materials and leathers, and bespoke picnic baskets. The only real limit is the customer’s imagination.

Timeless qualities of style and craftsmanship have been revitalised by advanced technologies and state-of-the-art engineering, while the driving experience has been honed to its keenest possible edge.

Developed in parallel with its Coupe stablemate, DB12 Volante boasts the same game-changing design, engineering and technology advances made by this latest evolution of Aston Martin’s most distinguished nameplate. With class-leading power and performance and purebred sports car dynamics, it is a transformative evolution. One that unashamedly positions the DB12 Volante as a true driver’s car first and foremost.

The foundation of this focus on uncompromised performance and handling is the DB12’s exceptionally rigid bonded aluminium structure. Not only was this engineered to capably support the new level of dynamics on DB12 Coupe, but also to deliver the same unrivalled driving experience for DB12 Volante.

Thanks to changes to underbody components, including the engine cross brace, DB12 Volante sees a 3.7% increase in global torsional stiffness, along with focussed improvement in lateral stiffness and gains in suspension performance and refinement. A non-isolated steering column and a stiffer front axle (+140%) contributes to improvements in on and off-centre steering feel and an overall sense of driver connection.

The Volante’s performance credentials speak for themselves. Best-in-class potency from its 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine endows DB12 Volante with formidable performance and a fabulous soundtrack. Tuned by Aston Martin engineers to deliver class-leading 680PS/671bhp at 6000rpm and 800Nm/590lb ft between 2750-6000rpm, this exceptional hand-built engine features modified cam profiles, optimised compression ratios, larger turbos, and increased cooling to achieve an increase in output of 34% compared with the DB11. Accelerating from 0-60mph in 3.6 or 0-62mph in 3.7sec and powering on to a top speed of 202mph, the DB12 Volante’s performance is truly breathtaking.

Power is fed through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, which like the DB12 Coupe, features a range of shift strategies complimenting each of the dynamic driving modes. The Volante also uses the same shortened Final Drive Ratio to maximise in-gear punch and Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff) for the perfect mix of agility when you want it and stability when you need it. With four-stage ESC and a choice of five pre-defined dynamic modes, the DB12 Volante allows the driver to precisely tailor its behaviour.

The result is a convertible car with an extraordinary breadth of capability. Intense performance and pinpoint handling to enthrall the most demanding driver, combined with the intoxicating pleasure of roof-down driving and supported by the very latest connected technology and spectacular surround sound audio system. Together they deliver a truly contemporary ownership experience. In providing the finest of all things, DB12 Volante exemplifies the new age of ultra-luxury.

Visually the DB12 Volante puts its own unforgettable spin on the Coupe’s bold and assertive exterior design. Exploiting the lowline packaging made possible by the brilliant K-Fold roof mechanism, the Aston Martin design team have achieved a sleek and athletic form that looks sensational with the roof raised or lowered. The taut fabric hood lends the Volante a distinctive look denied to convertibles equipped with folding metal roofs. Once lowered and concealed beneath the sculpted hard tonneau the Volante plays its trump card, the sleek uninterrupted beltline giving a tantalizing glimpse of the opulent interior and culminating in a lithe and muscular tail that puts the lumpen efforts of package-compromised rivals to shame.

The DB12 Volante made its world debut at Monterey Car Week in California in August 2023, and was exhibited for the first time at The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering on Friday, and at the exclusive Aston Martin Club 1913 clubhouse at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance the following weekend.

Production of the DB12 Volante is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2023, with the first deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023.
